First of all i haven't expressed an opinion on the subject one way or the other. You presume as well as rationalize.

Second, the Democrats split down the middle whereas the Bush administration came out against this. We wouldn't need this law or be wasting time on this if it weren't for the Bush administration refusing to allow guns in the cockpit.

Surely you wouldn't be so forgiving if this were a Democrat in the Whitehouse. Would you?

And your rationalization is unsupported by the facts. Mineta stalled as long as he could before announcing the decision only a couple months ago.

So why not take Bush on as strongly as you're taking on the congressmen?

BTW: I'm sure Bush will sign this bill once it gets to him. If he signed Campaign Finance Reform and the Farm Bill, what won't he sign?
