MoveOn: Paris Hilton Served More Time than Lewis Libby

By Kim Priestap on Asshats

Big deal. She served more time than Sandy Berger, too, and his crime was more egregious than Libby's [and no one is squealing about Sandy Burglar].

Statement by Eli Pariser, Executive Director, MoveOn.org Political Action

"President Bush is not above the law. Congress must hold him accountable.

President Bush let the only person convicted for lying about the Iraq war, Scooter Libby, go free," said Eli Pariser, Executive Director of MoveOn.org

Political Action. "Paris Hilton served more jail time than he will," concluded Pariser.

In 2003 Bush said: "[I]f there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. And if the person has violated law, the person will be taken care of." >>>

Richard Armitage leaked Plame's name not Lewis Libby, and Patrick Fitzgerald acknowledged that. Anyone who acts self-righteously indignant about Lewis Libby but defends Sandy Berger's sentence doesn't have any credibility.
