Well, people sell off in fear of what they think may happen on 1st of Jan, 2000, and which will actually not happen. If you really serious there will be a problem on 1st of Jan, 2000, then you should not be in the stock market by that time , no matter short, long, option , because your broker's computer may break down and lose all the data, then of course you lost all your stocks. And you should not park your money in the bank either, because the computer of your bank may break down and of course you lose your money. So, where should you park your money then ? well , park in your back yard till 2nd of Jan y2k.
Most of the companies are now operating in the y2k certificated environment now , and what you think will never happen at all !!!! So, the drama , if there is any, will be only a one to two days show !!!!!
