If those numbers are open intrest then they accumulate until excersized or expired. And since they are under the strike price you can not excersize.

Open intrest is the total contracts written. When you short an option you are actually writing a new option contract. Writing naked options is a huge risk unless you can monitor the progress continually and you could make a case for that open intrest as a contrary indicator.

Since options can be traded volume is probably a better indicator. Call volume often goes up a day or two before the stock volume does. Don't know why but maybe because those who are in the know will prefer the option because of the leverage.
