I wasn't surprised that PK said it. I was surprised that your letter to him did not mention it.

<anyone could argue that if your customer doesn't have money, then that customer will be reluctant to borrow for new capital equipment especially when prices are falling for the commodity that that customer is producing>

As PT Barnum once said ... aw, if they don't know Moore's law and price elasticity of demand by now...

Actually, there may be other alternatives such as fabless and foundry models. More rational production model IMO. But, you're right. The bleeding edge runs mighty thin at times.
