Southern Ontario got a mild Dec after cold and snow of Oct , Nov . + Low single digits for day highs for the next week . Normal would be more like - 10 . Gold Finches left early but 30 miles due south still visit a sister's feeder . Finches with red/rusty heads visit occasionally in small #s . They are getting a message of some kind from something . Would they know the Jet Stream was to be displaced ? Some ? may never be answered .
