Jim: What the research reviewed in the article seems to imply is that although you have no control over your actions, others do (e.g., the scientists running the study). But, of course, they had no free will either and so were compelled by exogenous forces to do the study. So, you wind up with a ridiculous paradox which can only be resolved by assuming everything is totally random. But I'm still not voting for John McCain, even if Obama is the anti-Christ.
