It would be nice if the logic of mobilization could go along with actual logic- because then we could mobilize in the correct way, to fight the threats that make sense. I'm all for mobilization. Let's mobilize to make container shipping more secure, for example. Let's mobilize those neighborhood policing programs, that were cut recently, back- because they apparently worked (some data I read that shows the recent crime increases parallel the cuts in after school programs and community police). Lots of things we can logically mobilize about- I'm not sure why we have to be goofy about it.
