Ed, it is funny that they never mention speculators that are closing out or rolling forward their contracts. Since expiry was yesterday, I am willing to bet all of the action over the last couple of trading days was related to mitigating exposure to these contracts. The current weather pattern was available and obvious since last Thursday. My sense is that the shorts are getting squeezed and not seeing the massive drop they have been talking about for months, despite the massive net short contract exposure that existed for November. This squeeze could further fuel more of a rise on short covering.
