Those numbers are an approximation, if I would have picked a few weks earlier, MSFT would have been up 38%, and NSCP would still have been negative. Again, just trying to prove a point. Bil says that I am running out of benchmarks, but MSFT has outperformed NSCP nearly everyday I have posted on SI for the last five or so months. That is a lot of benchmarks to run out of. You know Sal, if I didn't lack such an in depth comprehension of value, I would think that MSFT made a better investment thatn NSCP, just as i stated in my various posts. That is not true of course, becasue that would make Bill WRONG!

As for Mcnealy and crew, what do you expect? They could not possibly make a computer cheaper than Wintel. Sun can't even match the Wintel combination for price/performance in their bread and butter markets, so how they going to rush and start a new market overnight and attempt to beat them?
