Hydrogenics Ranks as Eighth Overall Winner on CB Tech100's List of Top Technology Companies
TORONTO, Jun 13, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Hydrogenics Corporation (Nasdaq: HYGS chart, msgs; TSE: HYG chart, msgs), a designer and manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell technology, today announced that it has been recognized in CB Tech100's annual listing published earlier this month. The CB Tech100 is a listing of Canada's largest and best-performing public technology companies. Each year, the CB Tech100 is compiled by Andersen and Canadian Business magazine using publicly available information.

Hydrogenics ranked eighth out of one hundred in the Overall Winner category. The various categories that form the basis of the award include growth in market capitalization, revenue, profitability, R&D spending, as well as an employee productivity ranking.

The award was presented to Hydrogenics' President and CEO, Pierre Rivard and the management team on June 13, 2001 in tandem with Hydrogenics' Annual Employee Shareholder meeting. Andrew Morvai and Mark Huttram, of Andersen's Technology, Media and Communications Industry Group presented the award.

"We are very gratified to receive this award," said Pierre Rivard. "A tremendous effort has been put forth by all employees over the last year or so, in the midst of dealing with the dynamics of growth and change. Recognition for hard work is always welcome, especially when we know that the basis for this award is an excellent indicator of ongoing potential. It speaks well for our future, which we at Hydrogenics are extremely excited about."
