Use Windows Explorer to search your entire C drive using the keyword Favorites. You may be able to find a backup of your old favorites which you can move into the folder named something like C:\Documents and Settings\ with your Windows name added to the end of the path name.

But back up everything repeatedly along the way as you try so you can back out if you get into trouble.

I was able to import my favorites from one computer to another using a variation on this technique.
