if Arthur Andersen LLP approved of it, then those presumed to know the rules certified that it was kosher. The explanation of what was done was not some endless series of shell companies. Also there seems to be an absence of any other questions about Harken insiders trading stock. ENE and WCOM are nowhere like Harken..... It's all about a late filed form whatever of little if any value to outside owners of the stock. As I said.... Because it is a decade later and I have not read about defaults on any notes or loans, all reported is about doing things in a certain ways to most likely avoid taxes or restructure debt or whatever. And IOU is accounts receivable..... If a company sells something and underwrites the loan the sale is booked as current revenue. That's my understanding. Harken's outside auditors, Arthur Andersen LLP, approved the company's annual report to the SEC as a fair presentation of Harken's financial position. Anyone who thinks like a true American does not state that something has not to be just wrong but fraud because someone voluntarily changes a report.
