For the most part, people who work in the MSM can't relate to tradespeople. The interaction they have is making a phone call and talking to some secretary who schedules their appearance.

They look at them as hired hands, who don't have the knowledge to understand complex tax issues in a Presidential race. After all, most never went to college, so they must be dumber than dirt.

We see this reflected in the attacks on Joe the Plumber who dared to ask a question.

Funny thing is when you watch the entire YouTube interaction, Obama and his fans went away from the encounter cheering. He and Joe had a nice exchange. It wasn't nasty as the press insinuates - nothing of the sort. Obama simply exposed by using the "spread the wealth around" statement his deeper socialistic vision.

None of it was a surprise to me. And I am sure not to his supporters.

Independents wavering on the fence probably had a different reaction. That's why the press needed to attack Joe instead of deal with the candidates message.
