Jefferson believed that Jesus was a man -- a propounder of the purest morality -- but in no sense a god. It is not clear that Jefferson believed in a humanoid god, but he never confused Jesus with God. It was worth noting that Jesus never called himself god either. He denied being god. He wanted to be recognized as messiah. But find me a single quotation in which Jesus (himself) claimed to be the same person as JHVH or the All Highest, or even to share the godlike substance. It would also be helpful to find some quotations in which a prophet predicted that the messiah would be god.
I, of course, have well recognized and accepted quotations of his in which Jesus denies being god. You know them, do you not? They would be more persuasive coming from you.
