don, i like to search different view points to find the basis of their thoughts(s&P probabilities,marketgauge,tickertape,oex masterblaster,inpathique,elliott,etc.) the thing that kind of amazed me this week is that the bulls stayed bullish, the bears stayed bearish, and the neutrals said we have only seen the beginning of volatility.

on the conspiracy theory side, i read that the fed was the purchasor of the large block of futures contracts on tuesday morning, which is what caused the market to turn. and without the IMF bailout on wed night in Asia etc. you know the conspiracy theorists aren't always wrong (ie MLK)
