RADAF CFO used to do it openly , thank god company was a success and then there is TALK CEO a complete nut case,, would argue with Motley Fool TMFs about their revenue and AOL arrangement ,, stock has been going south ,,then there was famous Mike Irving from ATEC thread...
I personaly know many maeket makers as well who reads daily .. so called chief analysts for Jersey City cow boys..
On your Nasdaq market maker article.. we have to learn that MMs are not our enemy,, they provide liquidity by law.. in other words if they sell they must also buy by law..and wihout them we will all have to stand in a town hall and wave the certificates above our heads,, pretty much like what old floor was like and still is on NYSE and AMEX,, now the spread part is where the MMs get a bad rap and rightfully so especially on pennies... for many years MMs incentive was to eat in to our spreads ,, SOES and Island changed that with recent NASD court rulings,,
MMs are neither friendly nor hostile, they are out to make money on our buys and sells,, and they will long and short the stock depending on the market sentiment , including the companies they brought financed ,,
By learing their rules and observing their MO , we can become more sophiscated trader,,, |
