Dear Westi and all: I truly believe the economy is quite strong, one of the reasons I base this on is the vibrant real estate and homes market. I am familiar with that business and when you realize how many products go into a new home and how many jobs it produces you can see why the economy has held up pretty well under the circumstances. THE PROBLEM as I see it is TOTAL LACK OF FAITH anymore in the Credibility of Corporate Leaders, Financial Statements, Auditors, Analysts and all associated with reporting results of operations of Public Companies. IMHO the ONLY way this faith will be restored is if IMMEDIATE prosecution and confiscation of the alleged guilty parties takes place. If Congress merely enacts laws for the FUTURE that doesnt do a damn thing for the sins of the past such as ENRON, WCOM, GBLX. I wouldnt believe the future till we get there, I want to see something NOW for what has already occurred. I think it should be done FAST for the sake of our Nation, just as we have moved fast on Terrorists. JDN
