Get them both because neither is completely reliable. They're both cheap enough so that you have backup and you have two lines. You can divide their usage and retain always-tandem operation. Eventually, you may want to eliminate one or the other depending on how things go. You might find that one or the other is uniquely suitable to do certain critical things. In 5 years cable will start pulling away from DSL in capability because DSL is approaching its theoretical limit while cable hasn't even begun to do so. This strategy gives you experience with both.
