Hi Alex, no it wasn't a cut and paste error. It confused me also. I agree with much of what you have said. The problem is, these kind of agreements never DO what there political posturing do gooders say it's going to do. (whew! that was a tongue twister)

Instead we get just what I talked about 2 months ago. An attempt to transfer wealth, from the rich countries to the poor countries, pure and simple. If the goal is a reduction in CO2 then everyone pony up. Otherwise it's a useless exercise that we, the American taxpayer pay for, practically alone and for no reason.

The questions really should be.
1. Are CO2 levels rising?
2. IF CO2 is rising, does it pose a serious risk to the worlds ecosystems?
3. What CO2 level would be considered safe?
4. What can we do about it?
If the answers to 1 thru 3 are not clear, (which many scientist say are not). Then how can we expect to implement 4?

In other words, What goal are we going to spend billions of dollars to achieve? How will we know we have reached it? And when will the dollar spicet get turned off?

Michael
