From Thestreet.com: Options Buzz: Dell Options Moving as Call Buyers Hit the Market

By Dan Colarusso

On a quiet Thursday when options specialists seek a hint
about expiration and there were no Christmas tree spreads
to be found, bulls seem to be popping up in Dell
(DELL:Nasdaq) options plays.

Dell options, which trade on the Philadelphia Stock
Exchange, caught the attention of traders who bought
February out-of-the-money calls at the 100 and 110 strike
prices with the company's shares trading up 1 3/16 to 92
7/8. Volume on the February 100 calls reached 1,113 this
morning.

Even some of the put activity seemed bullish today. Dell's
February 80 puts volume broke 2,000 early on and most of
the activity seemed to be initiated by sellers, who hope to
get the shares if the stock recedes to the strike price. Those
options were being sold at 1 5/8 (or $162.50) per contract.

Market wisdom puts Dell in a strong position among the box
makers in the computer industry, and the company is less
exposed to Asian weakness than many of its competitors.
