Jim,

I have been lurking for quite a while, and enjoy the thread. A stock popped up over the weekend that I wanted to get the threads thoughts on.

CFNI - Contifinancial, currently trading around 11 cents. A couple of years ago, It was trading north of $35 a share. They were trading on the NYSE, and were delisted on Jan 3 of this year. They are in the finance business, and managed to lose a half a billion dollars in the six months ending 9/99. Total loan originations for 1999 was over 11 billion dollars for year ending march 31, 1999.

There are a bunch of shareholder lawsuits in process. There have been large lay-offs, but I think the company still has about 2000 employees.

The thing that gets me interested in this is that Continental Grain
apparently owns 75% of the stock in the company.

Yahoo has a good profile and a link to their home page.

I bought some today just to see what happens.

Don't shoot the messenger.
