Rick, V1, the following article from the Journal of Immunology by BMY researchers seems to confirm the potential usefulness of anti-CD40L (cf. Biogen). edoc.com The title is "Long-Term Inhibition of Murine Lupus by Brief Simultaneous Blockade of the B7/CD28 and CD40/gp39 Costimulation Pathways" Emphasis on long-term and brief blockade. I have to read it more carefully, but it does look as if you need to block both pathways in order to get full benefit. PB
