Ghosts of '29 and '87. Unpaid shipping fines of $4 million leading to a trade war? Give me a break. Do you really think we are that protectionist or that naive as to endanger relations with our largest trading partner over such minor matters? We learned the int trade lesson very well in '29 and paid for it with a worldwide depression. Trade friction was not a cause of this correction.
