you could be right, i can't remember. but assuming you're correct and i wasted several hours.... personally, i would trade that for the sense of security i get from having up to the minute virus defs. whereas virus protection has for a long time been something i have read about and heard about, i am now beginning to encounter more and more people whose computers are infected, and they are distraught, to put it mildly. some of them say it's taken many days, even a week, to get things back to normal. plus i've wasted more time than "several hours" on other less productive things, for sure. :)
