That's the Bush problem of being a puppet, managed by committee. A committee can't usually get together on a message of integrity, that an individual would, such as:
"I'm sorry, I took loans, filed late, and did some shenanigans that don't fly in today's environment. It was legal then, but wrong. I am recommending prohibition of these kinds of dealings. Also, I am releasing all details of all these transactions, to prove I'm telling you everything there is to know. If there are any further questions on this subject, I'd be happy to answer them in detail in my Friday press conference that will be devoted to the subject."
The Puppeteer Committee can't do that, because they have too many other items on their combined agenda to get rammed through, like the police state, war overseas, and protecting cronies in deep doo-doo, like Cheney.
More importantly, Junior doesn't have a chance of answering any such questions truthfully, or in detail. The Puppet knows not what his Puppeteers do. He "hasn't quite figured it out yet". That has to wait until someone tells him. |
