Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but in times like this, it can be just plain stupid. So says Chuck Sigar, who points out that only 17 percent of the respondents in a recent Knight-Ridder poll knew that there were no Iraqis among the 9/11 hijackers. When asked how many of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq, twenty-three percent of respondents said "some," twenty-one percent said "most," while thirty-three percent didn't know. Russia Says U.S. Has Date Set for War The Russian military newswire AVN reported today that they have received information that the U.S. is planning to attack Iraq in February. Although the date has not yet been announced publicy, high-ranking Russian officials believe war will begin in the "second half of February," once 150,000 troops are in place.
Assuming that the Bush administration hasn't yet made up their minds about the political expedience of waging an unwanted war, that gives us about three weeks to somehow make more clear the message of no war.
