Absolutely and totally agree. You do not. Granny often gives the impression she is from a different planet and completely unfamiliar with this one. One her planet, agricultural mmethods that are adequate to support a billion are easily scaled up to support 6 billion. And changing from modern methos to those of a century or more ago will not result in the deaths of billios and wars, revolutions, and masive civil disorder.

Granny completely ignores the fact that the Green Revolution is dependent on modern farm techniques and lifted the population of India alone from 500 million to 1 billion. Prior to the begininning of the Green Revolution, recurrent famine was the fate of India. It was so successful, its methods were applied through much of the 3rd world. Now we face continuation of it or disaster. Take your pick.
