Jubak's article is fairly interesting, if a bit on the basic side, IMO. I'm in Colorado Springs, where Vitesse's new fab is ramping up, BTW. I get the benefit of extra news from the local business press and my broker, both of which are watching the situation closely. It was my second choice, but right now I think it's too pricey to buy. I think it does pay to time the market a little by waiting for the right time (i.e., a pullback, in this case), if that ever happens, because price does matter. If it never really comes back, then "oh well", there are other nice fish in the sea.
I also think that in this market one needs to factor in a large-cap premium into a stock such as CSCO, and probably also TLAB to some extent, relative to a smaller company. Hard to do that quantitatively, just as it's hard to factor in any I-Net premium. But you have to do that, as this is the hot, sexy area in the market these days. Ignore that and one is certain to sell too soon.
Thanks for the link.
