One of the first headlines from Yahoo news this morning. "Obama faces daunting foreign policy challenges".

Yesterday, a week, a month and a year before, they were merely issues the republican administration should have been able to solve with ease.

I am now waiting for the first headline from the Obama people on how they were bamboozled by the Bush administration. The economy and U.S. foreign policy is so much worse than they were told. Clinton did it with Bush senior and Obama will do it with GWB.

First, the democrats will assign more blame to Bush with the goal of lowering expectations. Once that is achieved, any victory no matter how trivial, can be hyped as success of the Obama administration. It worked for Clinton and is in the democrat's playbook.

Of course, the media will not notice that the congress has been controlled by the democrats since 2006.

The second headline I am waiting for is the NYT, WAPO and the LAT actually placing an asterisk on the successful status of the Iraq war which would clarify where Obama now stands and where he must go to conclude a successful and honorable USA departure from Iraq.
