Like the God particle the God module could be known as the Ya Ya module and it wouldn't make any difference to the experiencer.
I once watched a young, male epileptic describe the experience while he was on television. He described a feeling of transportation or passage into an altogether different realm.
Until the medical community can devise a way to measure actuated brain functions during an epileptic seizure ( good luck with that ) their speculative guesses will amount to nothing more than conjecture.
