It also might be the beginning of a class realignment. Palin's base is white blue-collar.

The Demos are now the party of the well educated, techo white-collar elite, i.e. the rich and super rich.

when I was a kid, the demos represented the working person. no more.

The demos have spread their base by picking up the Hispanics, along with the blacks, whom they've had for generations.

now it goes to the Republicans to expand their base. Gonna need new leadership. The Bushies, both generations, just wrecked the party.
