I work with an Israeli who is shocked by the voting patterns of the American Jews. I live in a Jewish neighborhood, but it is also an entertainment industry neighborhood, so though it is upscale, it is pretty damned liberal at times.

I have a few gay friends who basically credit the success of Prop 8 to the increased number of hispanic california voters who will tend to vote for liberal candidates, but with the catholic background, would be against gay marriage.

Though many coal workers are unionized and very much brainwashed by the unions, they should be able to connect the dots that if Obama is successful in killing the coal industry, they are quite simply going to be out of work.
