Sony downplays possibility of licensing MacOS; talks reportedly continue Although Sony has replied to a number of readers of Rumors with a note that indicated "We do not currently have plans to license the Mac OS," Apple sources have indicated that there are still low-key talks underway between the two companies. Sony's electronics division, which also makes Intel PCs, reportedly still has interest in licensing the Mac OS, although the official position is that it isn't happening any time soon. We'll continue to monitor this issue as events occur.
