The ones that aren't cut out or don't really want to be there will drift into the "easy" courses.

And did I interview a lot of those Grads! The attitude is that "everybody must go to college," and it's wrong. It needs to be tougher to stay in. I know that my first semester of Accounting was a "blowout" course back in the 50s.

But the key need is to re-evaluate the whole system. "Tenure" is the first thing that should go. It is an anachronism left over from the 19th Century.
