I thought Valence had a shot until they couldn't get money to expand under Obama because they were owned by a GOP supporter, Carl Berg, and the factory was in Texas. Valence had orders but couldn't get money to expand if I recall correctly. Obama gave the government support to solar companies instead and some of those eventually went under.
