Here is some news I got on 11/21/96. To date there have been approx. 1100 units (Plus and Lites) installed. The original 3000 lite units that were manufactured had a bug in one of the chips. There existed a cellular frequency problem, so they had to modify the design, and place a "muffler" chip in the existing units to filter out the excess noise. Also in some applications, the interior environment was so brightly light that they had to readjust the contrast internally on the unit. The SEGA SONIC should be coming around in 1st qtr 97. (Don't hold me to the last statement, my notes are sketchy, There is something to do with the Sonic in 1st Qtr 97, I think it is the introduction) The Parti Max (European Version) has had a prototype produced. It (Parti) will be intro'd in Jan, during the London Gaming Conv. The installation at FootHill CA: 100 units installed, last night 53 units were used, and good customer satisfaction. The usage of these are really impressing me. Around where I live, elderly people are the majority of bingo participants. The elderly and high technology don't exactly attract each other. So I was very pleased to here about this level of acceptance. The usage of the Max Lite has been explained to me as "So simple a 12 yr old could use it." (Now of course, I have seen some 12 yr olds that would give Bill Gates a run for his money. So I am still evaluating this statement.) The company currently has 30 -35 employees. In the near future, (again sketchy notes as to when) there will be a "Service Tech" training seminar in Phoenix, AZ. This will last for one week. The person I spoke with couldn't answer my question about how long an "Installation Tech" training session lasted, but he did say it wasn't 2 or 3 days. On the financial horizon, he expects full reporting within 60 days. Since my fax machine had a nasty run-in with a lightening bolt a long time ago. I haven't received any news releases since June 19th. So some of this may be rehashing for you all, but some may not.
