I think I stated that was my opinion. Again, I dont think anyone is going to argue with me on the destruction part. Whether its wrong or not, your right, I did not clarify that well enough. I should have followed it up with more than an imo or what have you so let me take the chance right now. To me, in my life, I would consider the activity of filling my body full of chemicals wrong and so I do not engage in those actions. I would not for one instance, expect everyone else to share the same ideals or beliefs as me, however, at that same time I will stand strong to my convictions and defend what I believe. As you can see, I will not be intimidated into abandoning my beliefs because I am not in the majority or because I am personally attacked by being branded many ugly things that I am not. There are reasons that I could be persauded on certain issues, but i will never be intimidated into such. Beliefs, ideals, and morals is what makes the individual. I try to bring that honesty and integrity to this thread, as I do anything in life. Lively debate and disagreement does not cause me to lose the respect I have for other people, it reinforces the respect as long as the same respect is granted me. Some on this thread have given me the oppurtunity to post dissention on this thread respectfully, most have not. I keep saying Im not the enemy here, if the Libertarian group wants to become electable and a serious majority movement party in this country, they will need to present their platform in the face of far greater opposition than myself and through the power of their convictions be able to persaud people on those convictions, not through brute force, intimidation, and nonsensical vicious branding of opposition. There are plenty groups that do this, none will ever be a majority in America.....in that sense, I may just be this threads best friend. Hopefully I clarified my point and you had every right to call me on it. Thanks for your response. another mtei'r? poet. |
