Infostrada to List on Italian Exchange by Year-end, Paper Says By Sharon Singleton Milan, May 29 (Bloomberg) -- Infostrada SpA, the traditional phone unit of Vodafone AirTouch Plc, will list its shares for trading on the Italian Exchange by the end of this year, la Repubblica reported, without citing its sources. Vodafone Chief Executive Chris Gent is expected to announce details of the initial public offer tomorrow, which will be one of the biggest in Italy this year. A recent report by Salomon Smith Barney valued Infostrada at 37 trillion lire ($18 billion), the newspaper said. Vodafone wants to sell the traditional phone assets it bought as part of its $175 billion purchase of Mannesmann AG, such as Infostrada and Mannesmann Arcor, to finance the cost of building new mobile phone networks in Europe.
