Depends. I'm a moody pool player and I have to be in a silent place. I play best when the music is right (I really suck if the music is wrong) or when I hit the zone. Or when I'm mad because someone is messing with me and/or my friends. Then the game becomes the speaker. I love that feeling of coldness that comes over and the angles are lined out almost visible. It's fun. A had a couple of friends who I played with alot and we liked to go around to other places. You can almost count on running into something. They normally beat me 'cause I just mess around alot and I'm not often "on". Plus they were very good. They loved it when the trouble started, though, and I'd run the balls. Then you blow off the tip of your cue, lay it down, and go. Job done.

I've loved pool since the first game I played at twelve. There's something very elegant and precise about it.
