It's hard to describe what it's been like in the heart of hurricane season the last 2 years. You can't help but obsess about it... you check the status 3-4 times a day, more when there is an active storm that could threaten you. And if you take a direct hit, there is nothing you can do, your life changes dramatically. You lose everything you spent your life collecting. Figure it this way... if hurricane seasons remain like they did last year, and I live here another 20 years, my WAG is that I have a better than 40% chance of losing everything I own. Art, family heirlooms, irreplaceable stuff. And if global warming is the real deal, and the sst's continue to climb, it's only going to get worse. Imagine a 12 month hurricane season with almost constant storms. Life is too short, other places have golf courses. John
