So was the article, that you were commenting on, referring to IETF Dynamic Updates to DNS (RFCs 2136 and 2137 - ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2136.txt and ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2137.txt) - or were they referring to anyone's proprietary implementation of a dynamic DNS service that operates within their own contained network?

Or maybe the article was referring to the many drafts that are proposed for dynamic DNS: ietf.org

I'm not sure the exact status of Novell's implementation of the above mentioned RFCs and drafts, which is what I would suspect the article was referring to ...

Just curious ...
