Jumper, I've finally figured it out. This explains not only the source of the Y2K problem and why it is so pervasive, it also explains who's been buying DDIM. Obviously, Mr. Lenz (a.k.a. Zen Master Rama) is making his cult followers buy DDIM stock to show their loyalty to him. Newsday will have another story on the latest chapter in this saga after the millenium.
