And that was some 5 months after the agreement was made. True, the government didn't approve the deal until May of 1998, but the deal was signed in October of 1997. "

So - what is your point?

Since then, Intel has ramped the StrongARM in to production and developed and introduced the XSCale family of processors.

And the Alchemy guys who walked out - 3 years later - STILL haven't got a production part out !!!
