Depends.. what you are looking for.. A lot of people, including moi, posts a lot of stuff.. So it also depends on the network you build up.. I do find posts there that I normally won't see.. On companies, economy etc.. So it is not just job related.. A lot of well known personalities are there and a lot of articles etc. are posted.. Mind you, it is free.. I am not on premium, paid site so who knows how long it lasts.. Since you are on SI and twitter, you probably catch most things in any case.. One reason I am there is because I have a private group that I own and moderate.. For now.. You can register and browse and see if you want to hang around..
