You see it is very simple...
1) They are in this world to die to go to paradise.

2) So when they are alive they do anything to either be killed or to kill to go to paradise.
3) However once they are dead, their fellow mulsims mourn and cry for them as why they died! :)

One would think that once they are dead and gone, their fellow mulsim friends and family would celebrate and be happy for them (after all they are now in paradise as they had always wanted to be having wild orgies with the 72 virgins that are set aside for them), but instead they mourn for them in the most horrific manners such as beating themselves, putting mud over their head, cry out loud, curse everyone, and then in revenge they go and either kill more of their fellow Mulsims (or does not matter... anything that moves), and/or kill themselves. And the whole cycle begins again.

And so it is rather a very contradictory philisophy that I for one could not understand.
