Solon, I have no special insight into crop circles at all. What I have become more and more intrigued with is the extraterrestrial application of terror on humans if only an initial affect and only temporary.
Even though contactees and abductees have no shared knowledge regarding their reported ET experiences terror is a near 100% commonality associated with initial ET contact.
I find it fascinating because I believe it assists ET's in a multitude of ways and requires thinking outside of the Homo sapien box. One must consider the application of terror in an altogether different light.
ET's use terror as a sort of dowsing rod to quickly understand many heratfelt characteristics of an individual in a very rapid fashion while possibly collecting data on that person while under extreme traumatization.
They certainly have a person's full attention.

Recall your first immunization as a child. The doctor wasn't nice at all and you were lied to - it hurt bad.
You were utterly confused as to 1) why you had been lied to and 2) why that man hurt you.
Was it for your own good?
Were you terrorized to some degree?

Anyway, I haven't figured it out but it certainly interests me. Much like a dog is often willing to be trained.
