Hey Frank and Alex:
To set the record straight, I am a Cal Poly Business (MIS) major who had problems setting up Linux (not CS, Frank ;). The basic setup went fine, but when it came down to things like the sound card, that is where I ran into problems. Linux is definetely not for a non-techie, but I personally love the fact that I can leave my computer on for weeks on end without rebooting. In the one year that I have used Linux, it has become amazingly better and easier to use, and I fully expect that when the next kernel / version of RedHat comes out, it will become that much easier.

Ever called MSFT tech support?
I've tried, since I use their products at work, but I didn't feel like paying $30 for a single phone call. ;)
