I blame the schools for not talking about how important it is to be informed of the issues, and after the person is out of school, then they take the blame themselves. It is possible for teachers to actually teach the HOW's of elections, and no need at all to teach what politics to choose. Problem is....how many teachers actual are unbiased in their teaching? From what we can see today, not many. Therein lies the problem. Part of the problem is that 40% of the total US population doesn't pay income tax. Therefore, why should they know much of anything that affects the taxpayers....they have NO ownership at all. Only "what's in it for me".....
