A turning point whereby the Roman republic became the Roman empire.

Krugmans use of the North Carolina example is perplexing. The mischief, Krugman needs to be reminded, is only possible because the legislature has a veto proof majority in NC. Mischief by politicians is as old as our republic! Do we need to be reminded that results have consequences? Krugmans reasoning here is another example of blaming the results on an endless list of excuses without understanding WHY they happened. He is, like Hillary, ensconced within the elite bubble.
